A kid's perspective on COVID-19

As a family, like many, we have grown closer through Isolation. Yesterday while on a call with a friend, I was standing on our balcony and looked back to our house to my daughter’s bedroom. Sometimes she is also standing looking out - usually on Instagram with friends - and we wave. It’s a bit weird but cute. Yesterday I saw a bucket hanging from her window. It transpired that it was a bucket for collecting takeaways! It had a small towel in it, with money in a plastic bag. Pure genius. I was later accused of being racist as I mentioned that we could meet close relatives, but not friends. Our kids have coped remarkably well. In a strange way we are more connected than ever. Online is the new playground, and as adults it will become our new playground for the foreseeable future.
